What is leadership development coaching?

It is a personalized and strategic process designed to help leaders enhance their leadership skills, decision-making abilities, and effectiveness. It fosters growth in areas critical to organizational success and individual performance.

Why is leadership development important?

It is critical for individuals and organizations because effective leadership drives success, growth, and positive transformation. Individuals completing this process will be given the tools needed to improve company performance and drive team productivity. Developing leadership skills enhances influence, improves the opportunity for advancement, and gives individuals skills that are portable enabling them to acquire leadership positions in any organization due to their ability to lead teams to exceed expectations collectively.

Why did you choose your profession?

I pursued a career in the entertainment industry due to my love for films, and I also worked in education because I greatly enjoyed working closely with people to help them achieve their life objectives.

Who are your main influences?

My main influences include leadership expert John Maxwell, sports icon Kobe Bryant, coaching luminary Mike Krzyzewski, entertainment legend Dolly Parton, and talented actor Tom Cruise.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

I served as the Director of Speech and Debate at Beaverton High School in Oregon from 1994 to 2000. During that time, I had the privilege of coaching a student who won a national championship in 1999 and developing one of the strongest programs in the Pacific Northwest. Additionally, I was chosen to be the President of the Oregon Speech Coaches organization and was part of the executive committee that organized the National High School Speech and Debate Tournament held in Portland in 2000.

What tools do you use?

I strive to research my projects thoroughly and am constantly focused on improving my leadership skills. My most enjoyable work involves delivering public presentations and collaborating closely with a team to achieve shared objectives.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in your profession?

Maintain a critical focus on being a strong leader and mentoring others to help maximize their performance for the benefit of the entire team.
